Monai’s Story
Monai’s love for design started early and has only grown stronger over the years. Originally from Canada, she now calls New York home, where she has been creating beautiful and functional spaces for over two decades.
After earning her BA in Interior Design from Algonquin College, she went on to work for various well-respected design firms. She completed hundreds of projects during this time, working on everything from commercial spaces to government buildings. This experience gave her a deep understanding of design principles and construction processes.
But Monai is a results-driven person, and she discovered a love for the personal connection and tangible results that come with residential design. Every project is different, and she finds it particularly rewarding working closely with clients so that their home reflects their own unique style. This passion is what led her to found Monai Interiors in 2019.
As a licensed Interior Designer with over 20 years of experience, Monai brings a wealth of knowledge to every project. Her CKD (Certified Kitchen Designer) certification through the National Kitchen and Bath Association, coupled with her extensive background in construction, makes her an invaluable asset to any homeowner looking to transform their space.
