Cross Street Remodel

This remodel was a dramatic one, with the client wanting some ambitious features in a very small kitchen. The specific requests included a built-in microwave, a large double sink, more storage and counter space, and seating for six at the island for game nights.

To make this work within the limited space, we relocated a baseboard heat run and used that wall for custom cabinets. We also designed a clever island with seating for four on one side and two saddle stools that tuck away on the other.

The end result is a huge departure from the original dark and cramped space. The new kitchen is bright and airy, with a lot of extra storage. We incorporated all GE Cafe appliances in white and added touches of gold to refine the look. BANYAN Fine Cabinets, made locally, were the perfect choice for this project, and that color is one of Monai’s favorites right now. And the wallpaper speaks for itself! All in all, this ended up being one of our favorite projects ever.
